This remote, air-cooled condenser system improves efficiency and ice production, conserving energy. Manitowoc remote condenser systems dissipate heat at a convenient location away from the ice machine. This maximizes your machine's ice-making capability and minimizes air conditioning loads by lowering the ambient air temperature around the ice machine.
D-Bin Ice Storage Bins
Pair with Indigo NXT 22" and 30" Ice Machines
Indigo NXT is paired with our new D-bin ice storage bin, simplifying access to the ice. The D-bin door has been re-designed to provide built-in side grips so you can easily grip the door and lift to access the ice, no matter where one is standing. The bin door is cammed and self-latches to stay in the open position keeping the employee safe when scooping ice. The DuraTech® Metal finish has better corrosion resistance than stainless steel and is smudge resistant and simpler to keep clean.

A 2.8 inch reflective touch display provides access to features: ice machine operating status, step-by-step cleaning instructions, one touch access to all the asset information and a startup wizard to simplify the installation and ice machine set up process. Indigo NXT provides the owner with full status of ice machine, at all times.
Sanitation
Indigo NXT is the easiest machine to clean. With its hinged door that swings open, a front facing evaporator that allows access to the foodzone without removing the top or side covers, all white interior so any grime or mold can be easily spotted, and no exposed tubes and wires, it is easy to wipe clean for those intermediate cleanings. Only Indigo NXT has an optional integrated advanced sanitation solution, LuminIce® II which keeps the food zone cleaner longer.
Energy Efficiency
Indigo NXT is one of the most efficient cube ice machines on the market today. Many of the new models incorporate R410A refrigerant, which is environmentally friendly and has 48% less global warming potential than previous models. All models are AHRI certified, as well as, exceed the stringent 2018 DOE (Department of Energy) minimums for energy usage. Many models are ENERGY STAR® 3.0 qualified, which makes them available for rebates from local energy companies.
Reliability
Indigo NXT is the most reliable ice machines that Manitowoc has made. Over a half a million hours of testing went into developing the next generation ice machine. New reliability methodology and HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Test) were used to ensure our machines will provide years of outstanding service.

From cleaning alerts to self-diagnostics this machine does it all. And it costs so little to run. Most of the models are ENERGY STAR® qualified and I save even more with the ice programming feature that automatically adjusts ice production based on our day-to-day needs.

Indigo® offers an internal communications system that constantly monitors refrigeration and sub-system controls. When issues arise, they are immediately noted and can be addressed. The electronic storing and reading of data makes servicing easier, reduces labor and machine downtime. Indigo lets you customize ice production to match your needs, making the right amount of ice you need, when you need it. Schedule by day-of-week or time-of-day to take advantage of lower energy costs (where applicable). You can also program ice production by bin fill level using the optional Bin Level Control Sensor.
Cleanability
Indigo® is the easiest machine to clean in the industry
Surfaces and parts that require cleaning are 100% accessible from the front of the machine and can be easily removed without tools. The swinging front door, available on 22" and 30" models, eases access to the front-facing evaporator making inspection and cleaning of the foodzone quicker and easier. Manitowoc raises the cleaning standard by not only designing Indigo ice machines to be easier to clean but by also offering several key technologies to help inhibit slime growth, lime deposits and mineral scale. For starters, we mold select foodzone plastic components with AlphaSan® antimicrobial protection.
Foodzone edges have rounded corners that wipe cleaner, easier. Our optional Automatic Cleaning System (iAuCS®) initiates a cleaning or sanitizing cycle to the evaporator AUTOMATICALLY at an interval you select, extending the time between full-service cleanings. Manitowoc’s exclusive LuminIce® Growth Inhibitor accessory creates “active air” that passes over exposed foodzone components to inhibit the growth of yeast, bacteria, and other common micro-organisms, so your Indigo stays cleaner, longer. That’s intelligent design.
